Ron Nicholas

Acting with urgency and a can-do attitude is essential when you are the VP and GM of the Field Service and Switchgear divisions at Southwest Electric. Ron relates to our core value, “Take Action,” which makes him a perfect fit for the job.  He believes every customer is important, regardless of the size of the opportunity, and each request should be addressed quickly to find a solution that is both practical and cost-effective.

Ron interacts closely with both hourly and salary employees, coordinating across markets and product offerings, while driving process alignment across the divisions.  He has 35 years of utility and industry experience, including working with engineering, transformer manufacturing, testing, remanufacturing, and field service.

Ron graduated from Capella University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and is also a Certified Black Belt under the L6S Institute.
